"North Korean action a threat to international peace" says US President Barack Obama. An emergency session of the UN Security Council is being convened by Russia during which a strong statement of condemnation is expected to be issued to the North Korean action.
Two years back North Korea agreed to close its main nuclear plant but has now withdrawn from all negotiations.
